Re: Tulip macros (with wireless IR flash trigger)
#2 for me, tho' I'd prefer all of flower (and a touch more DOF)

Re: Tulip macros (with wireless IR flash trigger)
Of these I prefer No.3 - which I like a tad more than the one in Critique

Re: Tulip macros (with wireless IR flash trigger)
#1 is original and the lighting is very gentle. Very good. Other two are nice enough but I've seen em before.

Re: Tulip macros (with wireless IR flash trigger)
Given the strength of the yellow inherent in these flowers as evidenced by shot one, shot 2 is a bit too over-exposed and pale. The top left part of the flower is even paler and lighter than the background behind it. Agree also I'd either prefer the whole flower or an 'intended crop'. What I mean by that is a crop that shows it is supposed to be cropped and doesn't look like a bit is missing.
The last one is better than the one you put in the Critique thread. The lighting is better and we can see more detail on the head of the stamen. It doesn't have such heavy shadow cutting across it. Good one ![]() Cheers, Rob

Re: Tulip macros (with wireless IR flash trigger)
I like #2 but it is overexposed, try fixing it in Photoshop, theres many ways , everybody has a different approach, I tried
copy the image and set the Blend mode to Multiply, lower the opacity to your satisfaction and add a layer mask and bring back everything that wasn't over exposed, when your done flatten the image and Color Boost the image, flatten it again and heres the result. ![]() I know its not the cretique thread but I had to show you how the color boost brought the colors out. hope it helped.

Re: Tulip macros (with wireless IR flash trigger)
I like your edit Sotelo, but I purposefully went for a slightly less saturated, less dense look. I feel yours is a little overpowering. Mine needs work too though.
