Not bad but I'd be tempted to clone out the dinghy.

I cloned out the dinghy and it does look better for it, but as you haven't set the option in your profile for editing I'm not going to post it here.

One thing I did notice though on closer inspection, is that the image seems to have gone through a frightful level of JPEG compression. The JPEG artifacts made cloning out the dinghy slightly more fiddly than it needed to be.

Its a good start but you need to also clone in some wake to replace the dinghy. I personally quite like the dinghy but the image could do with some space in front of the yacht as it is obviously moving forward.

Keep going though as its the only way to learn

Blooming motor-sailors. These things almost never use their sails! The med is covered in them! What you want is proper sailing boat!

Good pic though mate.

Quite good for a first go, however, the part you've cloned from appears to be slightly darker than it should be - I notice you've cloned from the bottom-left of the image and you've clearly got the same pattern repeated three times. You've got a range of shades of colour beneath the boat, so clone from there instead and you're more likely to get a better match. Also make sure you use a very soft brush when cloning, and set transparency to something between 25-40%. Go over it a couple of times if need be but the end result will blend in a lot better.

Something else to bear in mind - if there is a straight line going through the area your're cloning (such as the light patch just above the area you cloned), its imperative that you keep those lines absolutely straight, otherwise it draws attention to the cloned area.

Finally and on a similar note, the wake needs extending across the cloned area. The way you've done it, it stops abruptly and again, highlights the fact that something has been removed.
