Interesting in the first one how the focus is good on the eye but soft by the time you go back as far as the nose
Is the dof really that shallow at f3.2 or is the mid focus point on the hair nearest the camera? If it is that thin at 3.2 it must be wafer thin at 1.2!
Certainly got some good sharpness in both of them.

Now you have really made me envious. As shown in the first shot - ideal for children's portraits and especially in low light. Someone did not look too upset by the investment!

Bought it from Canon UK dod..

TBH I have some serious hardware here but nothing has impressed me like this has mate..

Pretty slow to focus but extremely sharp with fantastic detail..

I might say its "The Dogs"......

#2 shot of the lady is pin sharp...chidren slightly out of focus. A tighter crop round ladies head would be a belter of a shot, especially with that natural smile & the lighting.

How about this tight crop round the girls head.

Lots to learn with this lens but very good results so far IMO..
