Hi Boon - nice shot and good to see you around. Sharp, good colour and dof. What are you shooting with these days?

hi stepheno
still using the 350d and the EFS 17-85mm IS USM lens as always, but will be buying the canon 100-400mm L shortly.

Re: walk by the river

Nice shot Boon, I like the OOF water running behind it. I maybe would've given the subject a bit more space, but that's just personal preferance. Are you still into all things floral etc. with work? (If memory serves me correctly!)

Your going to love the 100-400L IS, it gets plenty of camera time on my 350D with results I'm extreamly happy with!

Re: walk by the river

Did you use fill in flash Steve, as colours are very vibrant ? Now make sure you leave this shot up for a tad longer than last one

As for the 100-400mm even I have to admit that's one very decent lens. Been constantly impressed by the shots you Canon boys get from that lens

I've been drooling after that one for a while now. I shoot a lot of soccer with the 70-300 IS USM. It's a great lens but I really need the extra 100mm and I don't want to use a converter.

Boon
Terrific shot that OOF running really helps to make this one of those photo's you can look at for ages and not get tired of. It would great in a frame and on a wall somewhere.

The extra bit of space round the subject does look better IMO, but I think your right about the colour being better in the original shot, more natural. It's getting there though
