Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
I really like the double drop here, the shutter speed you chose, and the forground rock with all the stillness of the colorful autum leaves. Maybe the smallest of nit and only personal standpoint,, I would like to see just a tad more of the pretty yellow background trees... Beautiful shot Markulous.......

Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
Yup, love that one Mark, really lovely contrast between the softness of the water and the sharply focused rocks and leaves. I too would like to have just a tad more of the colourful foliage up top but hey, that is just another picture. This one is great :o)
I just looked again and I think one point that would make it even better is if you cropped the first centimetre off the bottom (as viewed on screen) as the rich colours start just above a fairly dark band of shadow which isn't giving us much. Great work though, wish I had some waterfalls like that near me. Cheers, Rob

Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
Many thanks for the comments, everyone! Much appreciated and very useful - as always! More foliage and a little off the bottom.
![]() And for the English keyboards: Horseshoe Falls, Little Neath, Small Mill Bridge Here's the same Falls, slightly different view, more foliage! ![]() |

Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
I couldn't fault the first one, and I really have tried.

Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
Love the first shot but I would remove some of the more prominent twigs snagged on the rock (middle left foreground). Otherwise its excellent
![]() The small waterfall in the back of the second shot is fighting for your attention and weakening the pictures instant impact IMO. Otherwise it is another good shot but overshadowed in the company of the first ![]() |

Thanks for additional comments

Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
I absolutely LOVE the last one Mark, superb shot. Sorry to be onb with the crop again but the very top edge with the sky breaking through is a little distracting. It might be better to clone over some twigs into that area so that it just naturally blocks out the blueness of the sky so you get to keep the whole branch.
I think the way this tree frames the shot works superbly well: your best waterfall IMO. Cheers, Rob |

Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
I didn't think you could improve on the first ones, looks like I got it wrong again.

Re: Waterfalls - Part 2
I am liking 'Upper Ddwli' with the tree offering natural framing however
just above the tree the colour of that band running across the picture is much greyer and stands out as looking unnatural. It probably is just due to the sky and lack of trees there but it was something I noticed and would attempt to change if it were my shot. You definitely had a good day for pictures though |
