Very nice shots, colourful and full of interest With people wearing so much white in India you do need to watch the exposure.

Very nice. Three different outfits? That is the same woman, right?

Yes Larne..its the same woman.....the outfit change is a sort of a ritual in southern India....you'd see it in all the south Indian wedding...

Re: Wedding again.---Kerala,India

Just thinking (with horror) what a UK wedding would be like if the bride had to keep changing outfit. It's hard enough getting women ready the first time ...

Re: Wedding again.---Kerala,India

I was going to say it is obvious that Indian ladies are better trained that UK ones but that would be very unkind, which is not like me at all, and also would get me into all sorts of trouble with all the very nice ladies in this forum so I will never mention it.

I must say having seen parts of some weddings in India what a joyous and colourful occasion that are. The receptions were truly spectacular.

Re: Wedding again.---Kerala,India

I experienced a family wedding in India quite a number of years ago and it was most certainly a colourful and drawn out affair. To give you some idea, the actual wedding itself happened on day 3! The total celebrations lasted three weeks and only finished when they couple arrived back from the honeymoon. In the meantime people just carried on celebrating!

Lovely stuff to see and I hope the couple in your shots have a long and happy life together

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Wedding again.---Kerala,India

I guess over the last 6 or so years I have been to India about 15 times for work. Only to Bombay and Delhi though. I managed to stay out of central Bombay most of the time as I really do not like it (sorry I see you are there) and I was working out at Vashi. I did love Ghandi's house though.

Delhi is completely different - a great place to be . Humayum's tomb is one of my favourite places - a fascinating forerunner to the Taj Mahal which is of course stunning.

I must say that the best hotels I have ever stayed in have been in India.

I do not expect to go back there so I will miss out on Jaipur and the northern towns like Darjeeling . The first time i went there it was a huge shock but now I will really miss it.

I have realised that time flies as you get older. I have just looked at the copy of my first Indian visa application which was dated 1997 - 11 years ago

I was working at the oil terminals but I did not go there that many times say 4 or 5 in total - the other visits to India were to other similar places around Mumbai and Delhi. I never stayed in Vashi or saw anything of it except the terminals. Unfortunately (company policy ) I had to stay at the hotels near the airport, usually the excutive floor Leela and travel by car each day.
