A Week 'Up North'
Spent a great week in the North West - based in St Helens
Sunset @ Pennington Flash Wasn't a great sky but good enough!   The Singing Ringing Tree It was Stepheno's shots that prompted us to track down the Singing Tree (which didn't!) - see http://www.pixalo.com/community/phot...ree-16213.html for his shots and a fuller description  Weir @ Hebden Bridge Lovely place, although touristy, and most take shots of the bridge, so we thought we'd tackle the weir!  'Tog @ Ashurst's Beacon What more could you ask for? Nice sunset and good company - my kind of shot (and the sunset ones weren't too bad either!). Well, OK, we got a bit wet - but we're happy to suffer for our art! And it was great seeing the bands of showers sweeping in  Red squirrel @ Formby We thought we'd be lucky to see any red squirrels but not only were there quite a few but also a fox. Getting the shots was another matter as the squizzers didn't hang around posing!  Comments, good, bad, indifferent - all welcome!

The weir is really good I think because so many different colours are represented in water in different parts.
