A Week 'Up North' 2
Following my first set of pics, here's some more!
The Singing Ringing Tree Slightly more abstract view ![]() 'Atom' another of the panopticons Rather difficult to get an outside shot that does it justice ![]() 'Atom' inside looking out - note the raindrops on the steel ball! ![]() ![]() Ashurst Beacon That which we were photographing - sunshine and showers! ![]() Red squirrel Now you can say you dislike this shot - I had the use of a 350D which was OK (but of course nowhere near as good as my Sigma!) ![]() Comments of the good, bad or indifferent are all welcome, as usual!

Re: A Week 'Up North' 2
Love the composition in #1.
How was the third one processed re the exposure? The last one is probably your best shot I have seen from you re - exposure, contrast, sharpness etc....you try anything differently than usual? |

#3 was exposed to the brightest (just off burning) and then a touch of dodge to bring up the vague shadow detail The last COULD have been the rubbish Canon! LOL! Lens was very similar to the one I used on my Sigma to take the other |

Re: A Week 'Up North' 2
Well P-E, some people just aren't grateful for the use of a decent camera whilst squizzling, even if the lens left a lot to be desired

Would've taken far too long to teach her which button to press!
![]() And I had guessed that you might be deluded enough to think a Kwappy Kwanon to be good, P-E!

Re: A Week 'Up North' 2
You missed a trick with 2, coulda had a really interesting comp with a single hole and the various reflected holes on the nucleus if you've framed it up to avoid that crescent above it.
#3 I like very much with the patch of shorter grass in the foreground splitting it up. |

Re: A Week 'Up North' 2
Cheers, Fiona, Malcolm!
Was never going to happen, Malcolm. Getting lower down would've just given sky out of the window and sky reflected windows - simpler, yes, but not so interesting |
