Westonbirt Arboretum....
Well, it was cats and dogs when I woke up. Decided to chance a mission to the place of many trees. mostly 6 inches deep in mud. more rain. and then the sun came out.......

Great shots there
Used to live nearby in Wickwar years ago & took my Boxer up there once....although caught him hanging off a rare Acer tree by his teeth, trying to break a branch off, so didn't go back ![]() |

Looks like someones backing 'Autumn' for the win
![]() Like the first one and the red leaves. What are the more abstract ones? Window reflections? |

some big (10' x 8') slabs of laminated glass stuck in the ground with paintings of trees in acrylic on them. only really look like trees from about 20m away! close up just look crazy!
I voted for bokeh (but i've saved a couple just in case autumn wins) |

I voted for Bokeh also. I am goosed if autumn wins as all the leaves have already fallen of the trees here
Some great shots there though and I dread to think what you have held back, just in case ![]() |

Thanks for the compliments. I think the cheapy compact held up fairly well (about 15 sharp shots out of 200 odd) was a beautiful day once the rain stopped. only problem was IDIOTS setting up their tripods and then wandering around shoving their L glass into everything! also leaving their trolleys (?!?!?!?!?!?) around too! It made it very difficult to get any decent wide shots. I later came to the concusion that this was how they marked out their territory. Never mind, I went on a mission to annoy them by standing around in their shots and poking my little compact in crazy places!
