Wet ladybird
First macro for quite a while. I think this little fella got caught in the rain. I shot this with the Sigma 180mm macro and the Canon D500 stuck on the front - focussing was fun!

love the shot and its razor sharp. I appreciate that the bug has the full colour range and completely black sections meaning that you have got the exposure spot on but due to the framing of the subject (which I like) you have a great amount of dark area in the background that in not completely black. I believe this shot would be improved by masking that area and altering it to be darker still.

I'm kinda torn 40% to the first, 60% to the second version.
Either way, it's a great capture of subject matter that I personally would find too difficult to tackle
