Which ones?
The Fringe Festival is on here in Adelaide and our CC had a photo rally the other evening. Our next comp night has the Fringe Rally as the set subject - these are the best 5 of the many I took. Not sure if they are comp quality but I am in the beginners category so bear that in mind...any way comments etc would be appreciated.
Thanks. #1 ![]() #2 ![]() #3 ![]() #4 ![]() #5 ![]() Last edited by Willow5075 : 02-03-2008 at 03:33. Reason: spelling! |

Re: Whcih ones?
Great set! No.2 and 3 for me - really like the wheel picture
Glad to see the fire juggler concentrating hard - super expression. Was she juggling and being held up by the 2 guys at the same time? No wonder she was concentrating soooo hard! |

Re: Whcih ones?
Thanks - yes slow shutter for the wheel! The juggler did a great act and was very funny - she actually dropped one of the batons just after that pic so I think she knew it was going to happen

Re: Whcih ones?
No. 2 and 3
I do not like the background on 1, 4 is very static and centralised, and that facial expression on 5 is not the best. |

Re: Whcih ones?
Very nice, I like them all so much it's hard to pick a preference over one in particular.
The first one is probably the weakest to me because the main focus isn't attention grabbing enough and the background, although nice, is quite distracting. Though a much better job on the second, nice to be able to clearly see some texture and the background produces quite a good pattern so it has enough consistency to just be an added bonus to the image without being distracting. The wheel looks great, enough to make me not think too much about the background which I wouldn't like by itself. I really like how you shot just the one half, very good composition. For the fourth, I would of liked to see that in the centre of the shot and without the tree, which is a very personal preference as I could see that having great abstract potential. Really like the colours, a cool green with a cool blue, goes very well. And finally, the last one really is a great capture. It makes me wonder whether the real fire juggler had to pull out and that that's really a stand in regular juggler who isn't a fan of fire, hehe...great expression, kind of like D: Plus the guy positioned in between her legs in the shot also makes me smile and wonder what exactly his gaze is upon. So because I'm silly, five would be my favourite shot. Good work and good luck in the competition =] |

Re: Whcih ones?
Thanks Chaz - its interesting you say that about the tree in #4 I almost cropped out the tree but decided to leave it in. When I get home i will try it out but I'm n the Gold Coast until the end of the week so it'll have to wait til then!

Too late, sorry Willow, but I'd have said 3 + 5. Love #5
