Whitby @ the Weekend
Evening all,
Had a great weekend (just gone) in Whitby thought I'd share these with you all. Habour and sight of the Abbey. ![]() Just liked the balance of this shot ?? ![]() This one (and a more besides) were the fruits of getting up to catch the dawn, just a pity it was so cloudy. ![]() Popped down to Robin Hoods Bay the same morning after shooting at Whitby ![]() Let me know what you think |

Cracking shots there
The first and last ones do it for me, I love the reflection of the clouds although the horizon looks slightly off level but that may just be me.

Great shots... love the last one!
Will be visiting Whitby this summer - haven't been for ages. The last time I went to Robin Hoods Bay, i walked all the way down that steep hill on a really hot sunny day... and the tide was in which meant I had to walk all the way up again.

Nice pictures, could i just ask, in shot #1 my wife says the water would never be that blue, even the reflection, is this done with the saturation of the picture, i ask this because i had a printed picture dismissed by a judge who said the windows wouldn't reflect that much blue (although they did)

) of saturation within my workflow routine, from what I understand many people do. But not in a way as to totally change the colour of the water in the harbour. On a side note Boon, its a shame about having your picture dismissed, I can only think the Judge was being so pedantic he actually couldn't see the picture correctly for have his head up his own arse !!! On a serious note though Boon if you really want to see the diffrence unprocessed > processed I have 5 or 6 of the same shot still sat unprocessed in RAW file - Would e-mail you copy if you want to look yourself, be about an 8meg .CR2 file. Let me know anyway............. Cheers fella |
