Re: White Tailed Eagle
Super shot John
I know Warwick Castle well, used to live up that way, still have family in the area. Their tours are really good, they manage to make it very interesting, including for the kids |

Re: White Tailed Eagle
Fantastic image John, great exposure and the lighting on the feathers really brings the textures out. The focus is spot on too
Was that with the Canon 100-400L ? |

Re: White Tailed Eagle
I agree with that - well caught.
Might be worth a little more blurring of the BG to allow the eagle to be just a bit more prominent, but that is only a minor thing. |

Re: White Tailed Eagle
Thank you all for your replies. No I didn't add extra blur to the background although Dabhand has suggested that I should. I will have a go at it.

Re: White Tailed Eagle
Wow. That's a great shot! The feather detail really lifts the bird, as mentioned above it gives an almost a 3D effect.
I spent a day with hawks in December near Biggin Hill. We were out walking with a pair of Harris Hawks for a few hours in the morning, then flying other birds singly in the afternoon. It was a super day, a great experience. I took many pictures, but nothing spectacular. |
