Wide angle guitar
I've not played around with my 16-35mm f/2.8 L for a while, so hooked it up to my 20D when I had a spare five minutes this afternoon...yes, I know my Ibanez needs a clean
, but I quite like the sharpness and perspective on this one ![]() Comments welcome |

Re: Wide angle guitar
Perspective does work well. But clean your guitar!!! It's as bad as my sons! This would look good on a large reflective sheet of acrylic.

GOOD SHOT, BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU HAVE THE NECK TO PUT YOUR GUITAR ON HERE WITHOUT CLEANING IT.

Re: Wide angle guitar
- thanks folks - - my guitars are for playing, not photographing regularly - I like the acrylic sheet idea, though, cheers

Re: Wide angle guitar
Nice guitar, fretboard is fine (not too dirty) from what I can see, so don't worry about it...
Is it a 550? |

Re: Wide angle guitar
Be good in mono I reckon (which might also help to hide the dust, or at least make it less conspicuous
)Don't like the inner white border, which seems to add to a sense of blown highlights at the top edge of the frame Also it (the white frame) is drawing the eye outward, which I find confusing, because the outer black (or is it blue?) border is then drawing my vision to a screeching halt, so that I find I'm looking at the border a lot ![]() Good perspective + composition |

Re: Wide angle guitar
good idea for photo but i would like to see whole guitar - this perspective is not working for me. another thing - it looks like stock photo so you should put it on perfect white background. this photo is good i'm just saying that it could be even better.

Re: Wide angle guitar
For me the pic is too much about the head stock and the body is an after-thought in the background. If you only want to make a picture of the head, I would either crop it or use a much greater differential in the focusing so that the body is very blurred but still has a bit more size within the photo.
Cheers, Rob |
