Re: Wild animal
The first two are stunners, Ring Tailed Lemurs are my favourite primates, taken at monkey world by any chance?

Re: Wild animal
stupot you have a good eye - yes it's from monkey world. i'm already thinking how to corrupt those people working there to let me take some more photos of other animals without any fence between me and monkey. maybe truck full of bananas will help
.

Re: Wild animal
Nicely detailed - #3 by far for me as it gives a much more interesting pose (and some context) - tho' I'd be tempted to remove the oak leaves just under the lemur. They're endangered in the wild but are the most numerous captive lemur (and so not strictly "wild" unless you actually did travel to Madagascar!)

Re: Wild animal
I too like the third shot except foor the side of its face (left as we are looking) as the BG doesn't have the smooth bokeh it needs, putting some unfortunate 'texture' into the blurred background. I'd definitely crop some of the top of the 5th shot off as the animal is looking directly to our right so we don't need a huge amount of space above.
Nice detail in these shots, using your usual prefered technique of a shallow depth of field so that only the face is sharp. I am assuming these were all taken with your 100mm f2.8 lens unless you have purchased another recently. I'll be visiting Monkey World in october when fiona comes down to see me so I'll take her in the Lemur enclosure, it's a fun place for sure ![]() Good work, Rob

Re: Wild animal
3, 4 and 6 are very nice. I'm not sure what it is, maybe your processing technique, or your overall technique, but the tones in your images are always so nice and rounded, perfect exposures almost without exception
Nice stuff |

Re: Wild animal
thank you for comments. yes i'm still using canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens. i have canon 18-55 lens (second hand) but i don't use it too much.
about colours and other staff - i'm shooting only in manual mode and only RAW files. and exposure is always -1. then i have lot's of possibilities in canon software for editing. colour teperature makes it easy to adjust light exactly as it was when i was at the scene where i was taking photo. since i have my canon camera i use photoshop only to make the photo smaller and for noise reduction. life is easier with good camera .
