Thought i would try something different with my editing.........

Any thoughts/comments welcome.

Thought I would stick up a colour version as well.

I'm trying to achieve an animated look.

Re: Windmill

Reminds me of one of those drawing where you use a sharp knife to scrape away the surface to get to the silver below.....does that make sense

Re: Windmill

When I first looked at this it jumped out at me as a shot that looked like it had just been way over sharpened. Obviously the effect has not been arrived at by accident but as that effect is often seen due to the sharpening cause it doesn't sit well or appeal to me personally.

As I look at it more and after reading Dave's comments I can see that side of the processing as well, however it would still need to be moved away further from the over sharpening effect to get that thought out of my mind.

I do fully comment your attitude to experimenting and trying new stuff though. Every once in a while I go through a stage like that and occasionally I come out the other side with a new technique or skill that I can use in other shots.

Re: Windmill

I rather like the treatment but think you need to watch the FG where the increased sharpy bits do try and take over - and do think a plain sky would suit much better for the same reason

Re: Windmill

I think you are right about a plain sky Markulous.

Not sure if the colour version works better
