Xmas decorations

Just been looking through some shots from last years holiday in Australia and found these shots of Melbournes Xmas decorations. It seemed odd at the time to see shops decked out for Christmas with clear blue skies and 30+ degree temperatures.

Re: Xmas decorations

I can only assume someone gave Melbourne a cheap deal on a job lot of stars! Doesn't do a lot for me but then I am as traditional as they come with Christmas decorations and I am with Fiona that I can't imagine Christmas on the beach with a bar-b!

Still, one thing is for sure, there was no snow on the ground anywhere near where Jesus was born either! :o)

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Xmas decorations

Know what you mean as spent 1998 Xmas in Sydney. Not right sitting on a beach on Xmas day......even worse when I went to watch Saving Private Ryan at the cinema on the evening

At least New Years Eve was worth it down beside the Harbour bridge.....especially as they did a trial run of $1M worth of fireworks ready for the millenium

Re: Xmas decorations

see my post in Bella's Aussie Christmas.

Different side of the world but same feeling. I came to Florida from a cold climate 30+ years ago, but believe me, I got used to a sunny relatively warm Christmas.

Re: Xmas decorations

Weird christmas in the sun.
I'm one for the cold weather and snow or whatever the winter might bring. But the day after I could do with a nice sun and some warm weather

Anyway Bella, have a good christmas
