Re: Yay or nay?
In itself it's a decent abstract but without a focal point. It could make a good background for something on the wide panel on the right.
The strip just left of centre bothers me a little because it doesn't seem quite vertical. Just my 2p. ![]() P.S. With a splash of colour it would have Mondrian overtones, which I see you like from your siggy. ![]() |

Re: Yay or nay?
You're right it isn't, wasn't sure if anyone'd notice....it was meant to just be an abstract focussing on creating geometrical shapes...

Re: Yay or nay?
For me, it's the oval thingy on LHS - needs more definition (or more interesting clouds?). Be tempted to give the image some sort of filter/treatment to push it further into the abstract

Re: Yay or nay?
It's a mirror, so not so sure what I could do with it....(the oval that is...) might experiment with some filters.....

Re: Yay or nay?
I agree with some colour being injected and for some reason i want to take off the last strip of wood on the right, i think it would make a nice large canvas on some MD's wall then. But thats just my O.
yes like the above lol that appeared after I typed lol |

Re: Yay or nay?
Thread moved, as per request
Like the "Mondrian" tho' I'll admit to liking Mondrian better! ![]() This has kind of taken it into different territory - equally interesting but I'd like to see you progress the original |

Re: Yay or nay?
Well that's pretty, er, cool.
![]() IMO there's a little too much black on the left, so I'd crop a bit off that. |

Re: Yay or nay?
I like the original as it stands. The paler section just off centre adds a little bit of unease which I like in pics. The horizontal scratch marks beg a question, i.e. who did that?, which I also like.
If it were mine I might play around with the uneven tone from top to bottom to hold attention in the image but apart from that I like it. Les PS It's a Mitchell not a Modrian and should be judged on that! |
