This is your B&W comp entry, Mr Blue Sky, which means there is unfortunately no way to make a comment on it except thru' this board, so I hope you don't mind me posting it here

Wanted to say how much I like it (+ voted for it), I think it's a stunning shot, very well processed. The compo is very well balanced, the subtle mono suits it extremely well, + the edging you applied sets it off beautfilly. Fabulous curves + lines, with super-fine detail. A very soothing image indeed ... Love it

wow thanks charlotte! this is my favourite shot i have taken so far and looks fab printed 8x10 or bigger. it is on one of yorks many cycle tracks and is one of my favourite places.
just behind where i was standing is the river, to the left just out of view is a stream and a bit further up the track is a pond so there is plenty of photo oppertunities around there. its only about a 10 mile round trip on the bike from my house.
near the pond is a woodpecker that i keep trying to get a shot of but everytime i get anywhere close enough it dissapears!i will get it one day im sure.
the reasons i like it are the same as yours and i just love the unusual chair/bench made out of some kind of farming equipment i think, theres another one but it isnt in as good location.
its a shame really that we cant comment on comp entries after the competitions. thanks for taking the time to post this

York really does seem to be the most photogenic place around, judging by the number of fab images of various settings in York that are being posted at the mo'

Just for information, once the competition is over and the photographers have been identified, the entries do appear in the individual users galleries and can be commented on there

You sure? This is not my experience

There was no provision on this pic of Mr Blue Sky's. I have raised this issue before with Steve, + he confirmed that you can't comment/rate past competition entries.
