Great contrast between old and new.

The Gherkin looks like it's taking off behind the old facades, and the perspective adds to that.

Wow! Just got back from a trip to Plymouth to find this! Thank you very much. I'm so glad you thought it worthy of POTW. To be considered alongside others outstanding images means a lot. Absolutely chuffed

I visited Plymouth this weekend primarily to visit the kids but as luck would have it, turns out to be the same weekend that the Transatlantic Yacht Race started from Plymouth

Glorious weather, unfortunately hazy conditions and the boats being at the very end of my 300mm didn't make great photographic conditions, but I will post a couple if any good.
