Congratulations this week to M1ke A for his excellent capture of the Lavender Bee in flight

The selection of the Crew's pick is not getting any easier with the high standard of photographs displayed in the Members Gallery again this week. This shot has differential focus and a tack sharp subject that we all know is so difficult to achieve with this sort of photography.

M1ke A - this is the closest I've ever been to a bee (I'm allergic to them) and they are interesting characters. Congrats on your POTW. Cheers Elana

Thanks very much one and all.

We have a big lavender tree in our garden which the bees absolutley love in the summer.

There's never less than 20 of them buzzing around but that doesn't make them any easier to catch.

Patience is the key but I must only have had about a 10% keeper rate
