I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating Tim for this stunning portrait shot, "Cretan Man". As ever, there were a lot of fantastic photos in the gallery to choose from this week but I kept getting drawn back to this one. It just catches the essence of the man and you just want to smile along with him!

I am stunned! Thanks for your comments. I took this with my Minolta Dimage 7 which is not a DSLR. I have just bought a Nikon D80 after much thought - so I hope to get more good shots. However, as I have been told many times, the equipment is not the limiting factor!!
