okies further to a post in reply to boofers, i have decided to show one of my poor attempts at an abstract........ thoughts and opinions more than welcome.
( i know i aint very good at abstract)

Pretty good for 90 degree angles,,,I won't talk about the barrel distortion,,, but it is B+W and it is your chooseing of contrast with the mixture of your choice of weather to shoot infront of or behind the bars, makes me think that you have an abstract form here. It also sends a message to me that I don't want to do that kind of work, "thus the bars", another form of artistic communication.

I'll say one thing Fi, you certainly do have an eye for taking a shot of something I wouldn't even think about taking a shot of, let alone getting a half-decent result out of it!

I really like this and my only comment would be to lose the white corners top and bottom right. If you crop it 1/2 inch in I think you would have a better "abstract". At the moment, it's obvious it's a fence but if you lose that, you might wonder what it is - which is really what abstract is about!

oops didint notice the distortion........... easy to fix and will do so.... i wasnt going to convert this to mono but I had to just have a peek and i kinda liked it.

Angela, i know what you mean and originally i was going to lose it but i kinda liked the way it was symetrical.... will have another look see.
And i was walking along the road looking for graffiti when i thought ohh different lines here.......needless to say still didint get any graffiti!
