Re: Acorns and Conkers

Can't say much against . #4 is a bit overexposed and it's darned difficult when objects are very reflective. Colours, focus and dof are excellent. TFS.

Re: Acorns and Conkers

Yep, after a rocky start and going one down my nephew and his pals pulled together and won 2-1 was a good game.

I think the browns and greens work quite nicely.

Thanks for the comment

Re: Acorns and Conkers

The colours and patterns in these shots are what draws the eyes. There is no focal points as such but they still hold your attention. The room for improvement comes from softening and controlling the light so that you can avoid the bright reflections of both the acorns and the conkers. Sometimes something as simple as holding up a white tea towel or blanket between the light source and the subject can be enough to give you surprisingly good (almost studio quality) results.

Overall a great set of shots with good DOF control
Thanks for sharing.

Re: Acorns and Conkers

I like the composition on the 2nd one best but I think it would be better if the background were a more natural colour, still plain but something in complementary greens or browns.
