Re: Another macro shot
Personally I think the selective colour works excellently here Ian. I really like it though a tad less than the first one only because I like the blurring of the differential focus in that one.
May I suggest that you clone out the bit of curve of the left dial down in the bottom left corner and the tiny bit in the top right corner, just 3 millimetres worth but slightly distracting. What I do like is the needle showing movement, well done on that one. It really adds something to the image. Keep up the good work, you're obviously enjoying that macro lens and getting to grips with it very quickly. ![]() Cheers, Rob

Re: Another macro shot
Thanks for the comments both
Heh Heh, I wish . We make the instrument cluster for the Aston Martin DB9 and I have some test equipment that allows me control it on the desk. Quote:
I wish I had a dedicated macro lens !!!! This was taken with the standard 55-200mm D50 kit lens with a Hoya close up attachment. The main problem was not getting any reflections on the clear front glass.

Re: Another macro shot
Nothing really to add except to join the other's in saying "great shot", the movement of the needle make it for me.

Re: Another macro shot
Again that needle movement makes the shot. Well Done.
