Re: Bendy bloke.
LOL, you have opened yourself up to some very risque comments here Nam, but I am far to cultured and refined to say anything <g>
These figures are designed for artists who can put them into any pose and then draw the basic body shape for the portrait they are painting. As a photographer's tool you can use it in all sorts of ways if you have enough imagination. It can be human intervention by proxy in a picture to make all sorts of humourous shots. If on the other hand you have no imagination, it also makes very good fire-wood <g> On a serious point, try sitting and looking at this model for a little while. Move it around, adjust arm positions, head angle etc, just a bit at a time and consider which poses seem more dynamic than others. This might seem silly but I assure you it can be a very practical way of deciding on poses that you'd like to try when you are snapping a real person. Cheers, Rob

Re: Bendy bloke.
You might want to stop by Alison's website for ideas as she's done some superb and very funny poses!

Re: Bendy bloke.
That's great!! Really made me laugh, but also a very well taken shot ( or 2 shots, is the other a crop? ), background = good too

Re: Bendy bloke.
AHA...stick man. Great fun. Took this one about a year ago, using a lamp to provide great shadows. Excuse the Photoshopping....I was learning at the time

Re: Bendy bloke.
You mean you're not now?
![]() Seriously, the one thing that will never happen for me is that I stop learning how to use Photoshop... there is just so much new I pick up all the time. I've decided to target Calculations next, something a lot shy away from aparrently but well worth learning so i am told. My hint for anyone who has used PS for a little while but is probably not using as much as they could, get into the blending modes. They are often ignored but can do wonders for pictures. Particularly ones worth getting to grips with are: Screen, Blend, Multiply and Overlay though others are also useful. Don't be put off when you see a blend makes a harsh effect, just reduce the opacity of the top layer down to the effect that you find pleasing :o) Ok, I am totally so I'll shut up ![]() Cheers, Rob |

Re: Bendy bloke.
Ah, should have said "complete noob at the time", as agree you will never start learning re PS & Photography as a whole
Also shows how bad my monitor must have been at the time , for me not to pickup on it
