Best of the Rest from Yesturday...

Like I mention in a earlier post - I was at home yesturday playing with the Camera and a torch and different bit and piece I found around the house...

The third shot is a cut above the others, IMHO - I really like it.

Buddha looks a bit odd because of the lack of (tungsten?) lighting on his bottom half - possibly shaded by the camera? The shadow in the background is a bit distracting too because it seems to be made by something outside the shot.

The banana shot is a bit too tight a crop, for me. I'd like to see either a bit more white around the wooden hook or alternatively an even smaller crop where the wooden hook was only partially in frame, to make the bananas the central focus. At least I think that's what I'd like... I dunno.

But the third one is great. The harsh lighting actually suits it I think and the graduated background really suits it.

Lighting is great in 1 & 3, shadows play right into the background. Like #3 for this kind of photo subjects,,a lot to think about being carved.
