Re: European Starling

Everyone seems to think that starlings are black birds but as your wonderful picture shows they are a beautiful blue when caught in nice light.

Lovelly background with no distractions, nice space around the bird with perfect focus and dof. Was this shot with your Panasonic?

Wonderfull shot Keith !!

Re: European Starling

Love this Keith, has captured the beautiful irridescence of the feathers revealing lots of colour but also has a wonderful face and beak which sets this picture off superbly.

Are you an ornithologist yourself Keith, you seem to take a particular interest in our feathered friends... and you shoot them beautifully :o)

Cheers,
Rob

Re: European Starling

Love the image of the starling - I enjoy the colours and the antics the get up to around the feeder - the juverniles are hooligans! Provide plenty of excercise for my camera.

Hey Rob, I am not an ornithologist,,, I just enjoy feeding the birds in my backyard and have a couple of perches at the feeders to take pictures of them on instead of sitting on the feeder... Just another hobby......

Re: European Starling

Great shot, Keith. I feel as if I could reach toward my monitor and touch the bird.
