Boofers - I thought they were limited to areas. My bad. Always good to see different cultures art.

Re: Infrared Thread.

Hi Chris,, Thanks, I changed it to a milder version as I have been averaging 3 twisters plus one original with no deeper twisting. These are numbered 0,1,2,3 plus 0 is a saved layered where I can come back and copy and go on to another version. If I am happy with it, no versions, must of done something good. I also ran into Whipspeed, She is really doing good with her pictures.

Been out with the grandkids, love some of the scenery. This is apart of the park showing where Lewis and Clark lived before they took off up the Missouri River ending in Oregon.

Re: Infrared Thread.

Looks a good place. Not so struck on this one with the processing. Think it is a little flat for your 830 one - have seen you do better with it.

Sorry if that is too harsh

Not harsh at all, that's what I like to hear from someone I know has a good eye for difference. What is in this picture is the sky, I love the grey tones and white clouds. Now that I look here, and listen to you,,,,I have other versions but no groups of three different layers to change up the look. I will go back and look at my processing, I used luminar from raw to the new photoshop format you can save to. Just learning. They came out yesterday or so with a PC beta. I loaded a free update and it really is looking nice, just need to remember and check when I change my style as I went back to PS with a saved picture. I work only in 16 bit and it was in 8 bit so back to the settings and see if it helps. There is a real good micro contrast in luminar that works great. I was watching the blacks in the porch shadows, but my best pictures come out with my 17-40mmL f/4.0 when going wide. Sounds like I am defending my Yashica lense, I love them all to bit's but will try to bring out the suggestion.

Cheers my friend and the extra help you have shared over the years.

Re: Infrared Thread.

Ok,,I found this tool shed but it was just as lit up as the other. These yashica lenses are very bright. They pull in the light with no effert. But that it why I got them, I noticed there was pink in the tree. That is from the lcd view function. I learned something so it made this photo a little better. Sometime I will tell you what I did, IR black and whites take some magic to move the tones around. Cool,,,,,,,,

50D 42-75mm at 830nm

Thanks for the time,,,,,Boofers

I like this one much better. Sky is more interesting too.

Will have to look at the PC Beta of that software.

Re: Infrared Thread.

I love trees out in the thick grass of the farm lands, you can't see much grass here. Blended this with two different focal points I guess. A color one at 58mm and an infrared 830nm at 85mm, they seemed to line up real nice so there you go. I have fun doing this stuff, I am afraid of barrel distortion if I don't use the same lens. I am pretty sure that I used my 1D and a 50D to snap the pictures.

Thanks for dropping by, leave some comments on whether you feel that IR shouldn't have any color camera mix.

Re: Infrared Thread.

Have no problem at all with Colour Camera mixing and IR together. Whilst not "true" IR - what is once we swap channels and manipulate. Nice old woods in this.

Re: Infrared Thread.

Your imput helps me feel better, I fear the first comment about the color spectrum to creep around. This was all about black and white and where I was, is this a two hundred year old tree I thought? It needs some brown color. What I liked about the whole thing was the white branch tips coming out stark white. The whole picture is built around this. Now I am putting the picture back on the color one, what a puzzle but I am almost done. If it looks good I'll post it, but because it's color enhanced by IR and not IR enhanced by color, there is a difference.

Had a chance to take some infrared shots on a recent New Forest walk.
