Low Light

Ok! For the assignments, submit early

First off I decided to do the flame on my gas cooker... guess what - others posted a cooker, and a flame seperately. Ok no worries... end of festival fireworks will be here soon. Will do a fireworks shot!

DAMMIT! Someone beat me too it!

Hey ho, nm here they are anyway...

#5 - I'd probably have sumitted this one. I accidently moved the cam during the exposure. Quite like the tinsel effect.

Re: Low Light

Good set of shots, but that 2nd shot has the wow factor , but then again I lke the subtle lighting of smoke on last one

Re: Low Light

Hiya OP - a good set of shots but I particularly like the ones with the roof tops silhouetted. Gives perspective to the scene. Excellent.

Re: Low Light

They're all rubbish, so wouldn't bother putting 'em up for Low Light! Well, actually, I wouldn't bother entering at all, if I were you!

2nd from last I begrudgingly admit is OK I s'pose! LOL!

thanks. Yea the ones with the roof do give proper context. I tried to get up our friendly volcano but they'd closed the road and I was too late to walk.

I was going to go to the same street as the touring cars the other day but it was hard enough getting out my street never mind heading even further into town.

thanks was good fun. First time I've managed to fill up my 1gig SD card (202 shots to be exact) however the precarious lean out the livingroom window was "interesting" I also learned how awesome these Manfrotto ProB tripods are. It may well weigh as much as a small hefalump but wow is it flexible!

Re: Low Light

Spot on, OP. Sonsey - make a note that fireworks must not be an assignment for at least five years.

Re: Low Light

Duely noted... I hereby submit that after this Fortnightly Assignment has run it's course the Theme "Low Light" will be banned... for the rest of the year anyway
