Isn't it a bit dangerous hanging out of the window to take shots?

Really nice shots, some of those could easily make the brochure! The second one works really well

What makes it worse is that I'm driving it, LOL

Kinda rigged the tripod so it was hanging out the window, all good fun!

Cheers

Well considerng the tripod was in the car with all the potential for transmitted vibration, these are really nice and sharp. To be honest I thought you'd shopped the blur, and I'm still not convinced you're not pulling our legs.

I like the water drops - they add to the interest, but why aren't they blowing away?

I swear, thats how I did it, there was some vibration but when I put the legs of the tripod through the headrests (using the seats to cushion) and put a large car sponge on the window, it was supprisingly stable.

Plus these are four second exposures, and I'm probaly touching 2Mph tops.

4 Seconds, F4 @ 17mm, ISO 100, Averaged metering, no flash.

10D + 17-40mm F4L, Remote cable, Manfrotto 222 Head on 055 legs.

Very cool. I must try some of that stuff sometime.

Great set Kris

I prefer Image #4 rotated left 90°

For some reason I feel uncomfortable looking at it going upward.

Good enough for car mags......I tried doing this handheld from my wifes Mini (now gone) , but no good. You can buy special brackets to fit on car doors etc to do this more safely

Many thanks to everyone for commenting, its always reasuring to hear that a lot of thought and/or planning has not gone to waste, mind you, i guess when it does your call it "Experience" lol

Matty, I agree, it does look better at that angle, cheers for that.

I went to see another friend today who is letting me use a new GT40, and RS6 and Porsche Cayman to play with, and I've had another idea regarding attaching a mount to the car to allow better comp, watch this space ....
