Hello to all!
I made a post on the photo critique forum but I think it's more appropriate to post everything here.
Anyway I got my first prosumer camera a week or two ago and I can't stop playing with it!!
It's the panasonic GF1 with the 20mm pancake lens.
I would also like to get one more lens the 45-200 one but I guess since I have no money left, it would be better to wait it out!!

Hi dk.....I am having the same problem as Fiona, I am unable to see the photographs,just a white square with a red cross in it.

they are there now! and a nice selection of images they are toosome of them are a bit to abstracty for me........ and a couple seem to be empty.. with no focal point or subject....... but i really like the guitar and the cigarette one!

Hmmm.... That's strange. I seem to have no problem seeing the images. Do you guys still have the issue with the last 2 images? I really dint know what the issue is!!

Which ones are the ones you're not too hot about?

For some reason I seem to be digging the abstract feel. But that's just me!!
But I would really love to discuss about composition and everything photography related. There's always room for improvement!!

its all fine now...........dk dont take it personally....... like you dig the abstract im the opposite, its no reflection on your shots its just that i dont "do" abstract dont get it at all!
the last two for me are lacking in a focal point...... if for instance, you had shot a puddle with a reflection it would work but as it is for me its only a shot of a very wet bit of ground,.

same with the bricks,....... its a nice shot of rubble. but rubble is all its a shot of,. if there had been a subject in amongst the rubble it would lame it much more dynamic and interesting......... the sky is the same,. its nice clouds but thats all it is........ clouds.

Hi dk............. looking at your photos now.
As you say, you have a new camera and you are eager to try it out.
I quite like the oil slick and the guitar.
I find the girl looking at the computer would be improved with a less busy background.
Personally I would move the book from thee bottom right and what appears to be a bag in the top righthand corner.
These views only reflect my opinion.

I really don't understand why my service is acting up....
I can see them now but not a few minutes ago.
I'm using mobileme. It never failed me before but it seems that it's failing me now....

Here's another one. Today I tried messing about with food.
I will definitely play with it some more as I need to work on the composition and maybe a bit more varied lighting.
What do you guys think?
