Re: Orchids

I find these type of pictures to be very good for your health to sit down and enjoy processing them. I know sometimes with your macro you use a background color, do these have a color back there ?

Re: Orchids

Two lovely orchids Chrisa but both look a little soft to me. Images like this need to be pin sharp.

Thanks Colin

Get your eyes tested!

Truth be told the first one is softened via the Topaz Glow - I wanted a more dream effect on it.

On the second - its a narrow DOF - so to me the focus is sharp only on the top middle flower - some of the other front ones near front have some sharpness, but soften. Is this what you are seeing or do I need new glasses too

Good exsample of what the glow will do, I find as I learn it that it gives real life adjustments or artistic ones.

Re: Orchids

Glow is suprisingly adaptable. You can Glow obvious, but soften and also sharpen with it

Chrisa, Had another look at these especially the first and I think you idea of a dreamy effect is a good one only in this case I don't you have gone far enough to get the "Dreamy" effect and it just looks soft increase the processing and I think it will work well.
