Am a little jealous of this. No snow despite freezing all week - just rain.

We had -20C last year and I don't feel the need for a repeat (though if it means we keep the snow for longer......... )

At least with temps that low there's some excuse - a mm of snow here and all traffic grinds to a halt!

This is chilly . I heard about the weather in Europe and gave thanks for the Gulf stream. It climate change ever causes that to stop the UK will be b*****ed. We are about the same latitude as Hudson Bay and winter there is no fun.

I notice that you are near to the brewery. From memory of many trips to Belgium I thought everywhere in your country was near a brewery

I worked just south of Hudson Bay and loved it! Despite it being winter, -20C and living in tents with the only link to relative civilisation being helicopter until the bulldozer arrived, self-creating a frozen road. But I was a touch younger then!

Of the 3 dogs we have, the GSD adores water and will spend all her time there given a chance, Luka here loves swimming but as a rule just to cool off (yes, even in winter he gets warm!) and the Husky will paddle only, never venturing further (unless she falls in or I push her! {snigger})

Exactly what I've come to expect from you Mark, excellent :o)

People often like to compare -x degrees of their locality (you can't by the way, different localities are entirely different, it isn't a numbers game!) but I look at it this way: -3 is chuffin' cold, -10 is chuffin' cold and -20 is still chuffin' cold.... ergo they're all the same LOL!

I'm in same locality as Chris A si we haven't had any snow. They are giving flurries for tonight but not expecting to see any white when I get up tomorrow and even if it is it will be gone by lunchtime. We have a microclimate here that keeps most of the snow away :o) I smile because despite the photo opportunities, I despise snow LOL!

No dog shots for me this winter as we lost our last whippet in October, it's been a strange 3 years as we have lost one dog each of the 3 years during the fortnight Simon was starting and then going back to Uni. V

Thanks, Sarah, but sorry to hear about your dogs. We can blame stooodents for most things but maybe not this time(s)!

True and he was a real support as well, he came to the vets and held my hand and the dogs paws every time. Which makes me very proud of him.
