Re: Tegg's Nose
Me too!!
![]() Looks a beautiful place, the names are just great "Teggs Nose", "Cat & Fiddle Pass"... The first and the last are my favourites. The last one made so colourful by that gorgeous heather. I love the shadow shot, that's some inside leg measurement

Re: Tegg's Nose
Like them all, but the last is my favourite, the eye leads through well from the heather to the tall thing on the hill & lots of interest in between. Andy knows the Cat & Fiddle pass, he enters a charity ride up it every year.

Re: Tegg's Nose
Many thanks for the comments! Appreciated!
Still haven't found an explanation for who Tegg might be (if it was Wales it'd turn out to be a giant!). Cat and Fiddle is close to being world famous, Ali - it's also a road that they close in the winter, if it snows. And it's named after the pub on the top - see below Ahh, I'm guessing push and not motor, Sarah, (tho' plenty of both types of bike!). Rather him than me - that hill goes on forever! Cat & Fiddle - you can just make out the name on the side of the building (but probably not the sign showing, guess what, a cat and a fiddle!)

Yes, pedal power Mark, it's a ride from Brian Rourkes cycles and is in aid of cystic fibrosis and is on every year, he does that one and the Oxford to Cambridge.

Re: Tegg's Nose
1 is nice just not enough to keep interest. 3 is very nice just love the light and colour on the middle field and the sheep for good measure. I also like 4 not sure if i'd try cloning the people at the wall out or not.
Nice shots. Ken. |

Cheers, Ken
Wasn't too sure about the people myself (so, when unsure, leave as is!). Think they're too far away, really!

Re: Tegg's Nose
Think I hung onto them as we'd already seen this guy flying the kite with help from the rest of the family, so I already had a connection - sadly not one that comes over well!

Re: Tegg's Nose
Yeah I understand that, I thought they fit just as spectators (sort of thing). The sky and clouds are fantastic in this shot and had you not caught the guy with his arm up in the air...it just wouldn't be the same.

Re: Tegg's Nose
Some lovely shots in there Mark, love the HDR effect that gives them a real punchy feel.
I'd love to get that kite flyer and give him a lesson in how to do it properly, he's all over the place! Get those hands together man! <sigh> Lovely work Mark... but then what else is new! ![]() Cheers, Rob |
