Tulips
Tis that time of year when the tulips are in bloom. so as the weather is not too good today, I picked a couple out of the garden and took some pics.
Please pass your eye over these three and pass constructive feedback. I am pretty pleased with them myself. What do you think? Thanks for looking ![]() ![]()

Re: Tulips
Moved this into sharing, Slipstream as we have a one-shot restriction in the Critique Forum.
I like #1 and #3 for the lighting, composition and nice detail. The lighting and opposing strong elements in #2 spoil it for me, and the leaf keeps drawing my attention. In this one I don't like the lighting and composition. |

Re: Tulips
Great set Kevin, really nice lighting, especially #1. I actually quite like #2, I can see why some don't, but I don't think what you were going for was a detail of a tulip, more to create a sort of abstract type flower portrait, am I right?

Re: Tulips
Thanks for your comments guys,
![]() Jack: It was a different take on the subject and playing around with the position of the flash. I like it myself as it is different to #s 1 and 3 |

Re: Tulips
Really enjoy all three, tho' slightly put off by the weird light in #2 (comp's great, just think that reflected light should maybe be desaturated)

Re: Tulips
I think they are gorgeous. Personally I think the odd lighting in #2 makes for an interesting affect. My fav is #1
