PIMP THAT PHOTO Guidelines
PIMP THAT PHOTO Guidelines
We've noticed our members sometimes would like others to help convert/tweak their shots on Pixalo. Well we think this is a great idea, as it allows other members to show off the processes/methods they know best, whilst allowing others to learn from the examples shown. But we don't want to do it in a boring fashion....oh no. We've decided to go with the latest trend & name a new section of the Members Gallery "PIMP THAT PHOTO" . So here are the guidelines Upload the photo you want pimped to the "PIMP THAT PHOTO" category. In the description , best describe how you would like your Photo manipulated / tweaked. Eg. (Please show me how to convert this shot to Black & White high contrast.......or ...... Please show me how to generally improve this shot...etc.) Don’t forget to check the image editing check box in the edit profile section of the user control panel. Firstly setup a private album (it's very easy), so that we don't have duplicate shots showing in the public gallery. To do this, go to "MY PHOTOS" & then click in one of the boxes at the top that states "Add an Album". Call it what you want, but make sure you select "private" in the ‘Is album private?’ dropdown. Now go ahead & PIMP THAT PHOTO. Upload it to your private album & then copy the the IMG url inside the UBBCODE box & paste it into the comment thread on the photo to be PIMPED. This will now show them your photo. Try to explain, in the same post, what steps you took to get the desired result. This will ensure all members learn from your hard work. The only final caveat is remember that we are playing with other peoples images, so please be courteous in any modifications OK, have a play & we hope you enjoy this fun new feature, that helps us once again improve our photography ![]() Any questions, please post them in the Rules and Announcements Forum.
