Members Website Section

In the navigation at the top of the forums you will see a link to ‘Members Websites’. All community members are free to add up to 3 personal websites. These can also have your own site design button and a short written description appear next to each entry. Each site added is then linked by text and/or by clicking on the button that you uploaded (if you added one). The software also tracks the amount of people who view your site, who goes to it from Pixalo, and who comes back to Pixalo from your sites. The numbers are clearly shown on the right so that you can track your progress. A random website is also highlighted and moved to the top of the page each time the list is viewed, this will help you get your personal site noticed. This section is offering all members a chance to include their own personal websites in a free link directory to gain maximum exposure and inward links to help with search engine listings of your sites.

Why?

Besides us feeling that it is a great idea, some of our members already kindly link to us from their personal sites and this is our way of trying to give a little back. As this site grows the potential to have many more visitors to your sites also grows. Besides your site being listed here in one convenient place for all our members and visitors to see, the links are also available to search engines and will assist with increasing both your and our rankings and potential exposure.

How does it work?

When filling in your website details the Pixalo Members Website list will automatically give you the correct code to insert on to your own site, this is either in the form of a text link or a small button which you can chose to best suit your personal website design. The link code can be simply copied and pasted where you would like it to appear and does two things, firstly it allows tracking of people that you send to us (for the counts at the side of your site listing here) and secondly it also tracks the number of visitors that leave us to look at your site so that you can see the in and out traffic.

Where do I place the link back?

Please be aware that the actual URL (link) that you submit must have a reciprocal link back to Pixalo placed on it before they will appear in the list. So if you don’t want to place a link back to us on your main homepage we strongly suggest that you submit your links page address or a more preferred other where you can easily display either a small text link or a small image (your choice).

I have the link but my site is still not showing?

All sites submitted by members will be manually checked by Pixalo Crew to make sure they are genuine. This will be done on a daily basis and could take up to 24hours after you first submitted the link, in all likelihood your site should appear much faster though. If you have placed the return link and your site has not appeared in the list after 24 hours please contact a member of the Crew and we will look in to it immediately.

For those members that have already got links to us on your personal sites, after you have added your site to the Pixalo Members Website list please remember to change the link code to the one provided so that the software can validate your link as well as track and show your traffic statistics.
