NEC Spectraview (Germany)

Not sure where to post this so apologies if it's in the wrong place.

Bit of a long story so here we go........

I purchased a Spectraview 2090 monitor in August 06 and was really pleased with how it displayed apart from the hood became detached after a few days . I called NEC UK who forwarded my details to Germany (they handle Spectraview) who sent me first a new magnetic strip, then a new complete hood.

This also detached itself after a short while and again I emailed called NEC UK who again forwarded my problem to Germany.......within days a brand new monitor was delivered with the new one picked up the next day

Again the hood came away....it was quite obvious that the heat from the display was lifting the adhesive......I decided to stick this myself and it worked

A few months later and into 2007 I noticed some screen burn that CS2 kept leaving on the screen ........I thought I would just give NEC a call and see what they said (again details to Germany). Within an hour an email arrived from Germany apologising for this and informing me that a new monitor was to be shipped that day with the old to be picked up a few days later I was only after some advice but I wasn't going to argue.

The swap out went smoothly but you guessed it the hood fell off .....they did offer to send me a new one or some new adhesive that they had just finished testing but I decided to stick it myself.

This monitor (and it does display very nicely indeed) performed without fault until this week ......in the top left hand corner what I can only describe as a thin line that looked like a dirty black stain developed . I called NEC UK who said it sounded like a crystal problem, so my details (again) on to Germany. Two days later a brand new monitor arrived with what looks like a new type of adhesive to hold the hood

I might be a little suspect about the durability of this monitor but the Support from NEC UK and particularly Spectraview Germany is quite remarkable......three new monitors received within two days from Germany at their expense without question

The worry now is what will happen after the three year warranty.....apologies for the long post, bad gramma etc.
