Nikon MC-DC1 Remote Release

I've been looking at getting a wired remote release and the Jessop's price for the Nikon MC-DC1 is £24.99. A search of other UK suppliers resulted in seeing prices of around £19 + pp.

I found an equivalent one for under £5 including PP from This e-bay seller.

Quoted delivery up to 15 days, but got it in a week. Product has a nice quality feel to it and supports half pressure focus and has a lock function for long exposures.

Well recommended - at the price you have to have one!

Re: Nikon MC-DC1 Remote Release

Oh yes I've got a D70s - so I think this would work on any Nikon that the MC-DC1 would fit.

But not the D70 as it doesn't have a socket for the cable release. Only infra-red wots-a-name thingy...

Did not realise that - I thought the only differences in the D70s was the larger LCD and a firmware upgrade.
