I'm sure there was a post about Ebay scams a little while back. Can't remeber the details but it was very similar.

The seller has 100% good feedback, I agree it seems too good to be true but I can't see the scam.

The scamemer, hacks into an inocent users account with 100% positve feedback and sets up some scams using their account.
I had this a while ago with mountain bikes. Some dude had 260+ positive rating, then had loads (a few houndered) of half price top of the range montain bikes for sale. They wanted to finish the deal outside of the auction by their own email address etc. Informed Ebay and they removed them, but can't help think some people must have fell for it before it was taken down |
