Firstly, mods please move this if I've put it in the wrong place.

I hired a Canon 300 f2.8 last weekend, the second time I've done so from LFH.

Excellent, efficient service and you can get an extra day of use with the way they do their hire periods.

I've had 300 and 500 primes from Hireacamera as well and they've also been very good. Stewart and the others at LFH however just edge it as they have more flexible and cheaper rates.

The lens has come in a Peli style case due to it's size though I have no reason to doubt that smaller lenses are well packaged for transit.

They have a pretty varied selection kit so if you haven't hired anything before, give em a whirl.

We've had the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/4 IS to see how the IS compares with non-IS. Excellent service from them (and we concluded that neither lens improved on what we were getting already so a very worthwhile exercise!)
