Ideally I wanted to go for more power with the D-Lites, but I must admit the price of the above would make great backlights to more powerful 300W versions of Interfit for the front...... plus I could do with that IR transmitter for Studio shoots with club.

Dave, Did you end up buying these?
I was just offered this exact kit for 150 dlls. thats about £75, the kit is Brand new still in box it was a gift to him with a D300 and 18-200 lens which he already sold dirt cheap too.
anyway your thoughts on the kit would be appreciated and maybe I'll pick it up tom morrow.

For the money, grab it !!!! The price has gone up in UK.

I ended up going for Elinchrom D-Lite 4's, so ended up spending double the amount

Bought and traded them already didn't even use them, I was talking to a friend who has an SB-800 and a SB-600 he bought them 1 month ago but found them extremely difficult to use so we traded, I gave him the kit and 100 dlls for the two flashes and this, it's the exact same kit but he bought it at Calumet.
Nikon Creative Lighting System (CLS) A try.

So in reality I got a 600 Dll package for 250 Dlls.

I have the EX150Mkii and it's a great set of lights - power output is really consistent (to within 0.1 stop), and build quality etc is also really pretty good - I was spoiled by free access to a fully Elinchrom / Manfrotto stocked studio (my last job was for a national newspaper ), and I've been really impressed with the performance of this kit. The only thing I miss is having a boom arm and a decent sized softbox, but given the 2 light kit is less than a 580EXII, I can't complain!
