This is a new truck in the Australian 4x4 land and it is the most expensive duel cab on the market over 70 k new and they are tough ute

This is a good mates who works in central Australia around Alice springs and once you get out onto the back roads police tend to look the other way at how many trailers he has also the bull bar some people in the city are trying to get this type banned

But they do not live out that way and have no idea

this is the land of the Big red kangaroo males often reach 6 foot and lots of wild camels and cattle and no fences out that way

he is a driller and road worker and goes out 5days and returns home in Alice on week ends

Summer temps 49c are average

Certainly well equipped for the environment he works in.

I'd hate to think of what it must be like in a cab, if the air con broke

Re: Landcruser duel cab

it was not that long ago that air con became a common sight in Australia we used to use the good old window and lots of water lol

check this guy out Mailman of the Birdsville Track is the story of a remarkable Australian—Tom Kruse—driver of the Marree-to-Birdsville mail and star of the 1954 documentary The Back of Beyond. Once a fortnight for twenty years, the carrier called Kruse loaded up his battered Leyland Badger and drove the 1000km from Marree to Birdsville and back, delivering mail and supplies to the isolated residents of the famous inland stock route.

This was the Birdsville Track of the 1930s, ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s; when the Track was nothing more than two wheel ruts through stony desert, over sandhills and across flooded plains; before the advent of four-wheel drive, roadside assistance service, satellite phones and the Global Positioning System; before the Birdsville Track grew into the wide, graded, gravel roadway it is today.

no air con or help if the truck broke down he had to fix it on the side of the road he went in the heat floods ect
