Please post you local Police Vehicles

Ok things are a little slow so here is a challenge for every one simple easy take some image of the type of vehicle you local police use

As you know I live in a remote outback town and this provides some problems and some interesting situations

We live on a major road that is used to get east to west by huge road trains and normal cars so we have what we call heavy haulage traffic and general duties police

A major problem is drugs and drivers not takeing prescribed rest stops so this is one major target for the huge road trains

so what type of vehicles do we have

Toyota troopy V8 built for the outback built like a brick **** house and drives like one too not made for comfort they are made for dirt off road work , they run on tub split rim type and are easy to roll if you are not carefull

Traffic and general duties duel cab , the traffic cars have 6 ltr V8 and they use mostly Toyota and Ford duel cab with a specially made plastic cage made for them .( easy to hose out

Most cars and 4x4 have a huge range of radios from HF which is the big antenna on the back to computer digital systems

the troopys when sold are popular for back packers and tourists the split rim is easy to pull apart and repair the tyre compared to tubless also the tyres are cheap compared to something like a 19 inch land rover discovery and you can buy a tyre to fit the troopy any where in the outback unlike a 19 inch which are rare

As I live on the Border of NSW and SA here is a typical SA country vehicle

Now I would not like to be in the back of this in summer in say Cooper Peddy which often hit 48 c in summer

so what does you local police drive or ride no police bikes here

Cram it frog, Good to see you back again. Our Police vehicles are either armoured plated Land Rovers or armoured plated saloon cars both with bullet proof glass. I won't be sending any photos.

Re: Please post you local Police Vehicles

We have various sizes and makes here in Scotland, the ones I am showing are in Edinburgh but in the highlands of Scotland it is mostly 4x4 Land rovers etc as they get lots of snow up there.

A traffic car.

A small arrest van.

A riot van with escort.

Montage with the dogs of doodles on the local USAF Base done as prizes for inter unit charity competitions.
I am an Honorary Commander so have free entry and can get up close and personal with the F15's - even had four sessions on the flight sims . . . Not bad for an elderly native!
