Carrying on - part two

I wasnt going to post until after I had covered the western riding show but i thought i'd add a little update as theres a few things Ive learned and a few things happened. My mum is a big believer in not telling people about stuff till its happened but wheres the fun in that, i doubt ill jinx it by talking about it and of course if its meant to be it will be.

Firstly and most importantly my business cards arrived today yay! and they were really nice quality for the price and no spelling errors lol free from http://www.vistaprint.co.uk but you do have to put up with a lot of emails.

Secondly Ive learnt not to stay in my comfort zone and boy is it uncomfortable its easy to just take pics of animals, its what I know but venturing out like the trackday today 'urgh' did it feel horrid, I actually found I needed more practice! oh no, surely not!

haha!

Anyway i found doing something i don't normally do showed some holes in my knowledge but good job really as better to work on it now than when the business is in full swing and then look like a prat..

Also got with a stock agency and although i dont think it will bring huge income, well for a start the request emails range from an ethiopian boy of 10 to somewhere in outer mongolia but still worth uploading to.

Lastly Im in 'chat' with an editor about a new online magazine, and she has some reporting planned for me :O ooweee nice and exciting, basically going out covering it and doing the pics at the same time nice little earner/saver for both parties.

Because i started my new job Ive been concentrating on that for the last week but now need to push a bit harder, going to go put some cards in visble places, friends etc and see what happens.
Also burying my head in the manual and going out to practice some really bright sunshiney days lol

Im learning its not all about getting pretty pictures but taking photos of what people want to see and buy.

Also for those of you who havent got Photoshop or find it a bit of an expense try searching online for 'the gimp' its a free editing tool and you can do most of the things you can with PS.

Not much to report but something, and something is always good.

Sounds daunting but ace all the same!

Did you need a press pass for the track day or did ur big lens see you through the doors?

Depends where you go SS but mallory and donnington are free to enter on track days, so you can just walk in.
