Dodge and Burn using Layers
1.- With your image open go to Layer/New/Layer set the mode to Overlay and check the box where it says Fill with Overlay-neutral color (50% grey) click OK. 2.- Burn with Black (Darkens) 3.- Dodge with White (Brightens) Use to accentuate details and tone distractions !!! Enjoy!! |

Re: Dodge and Burn using Layers
maybe with the AV "madness" that started, maybe tutorials like this one and other video tutorials will catch on..
hopefully !! I started doing a few and still have a few sitting in my HD I never uploaded because it looked like people were not interested. |

Re: Dodge and Burn using Layers
It's a neat idea and thanks for doing it. IMO the YouTube resolution doesn't really do it justice and it's impossible to read the menus etc, but the general idea comes across OK.

Re: Dodge and Burn using Layers
What software does the guy who runs Radiant Vista use? His tutorials are very clear with respect to reading menus etc.

Re: Dodge and Burn using Layers
I think it due to the fact that they host there own videos, so they are able to have very large files, uncompressed files.
I think that what it is.. I tried uploading a video to my site, a very large file and it looked very good. thats why I think thats what it is. hope someone will shed ore light. |
