Festive lettering in Paintshop Pro

As I was asked about lettering I thought I would just do a quick rundown on festive lettering in Paintshop Pro.

Select your image
Select the Text Tool
Select the font you like
Select the size of your lettering (it can be stretched or shrunk later)
Select the colour you want the outer colour to be in the “Foreground and Stroke” properties box by using the dropper to choose the colour in the “Materials Properties.”
Select the inner colour in the “Background and Fill” properties box using the dropper and the “Materials Box as above.”
The width of the outer colour is determined by the value that you set the “Stroke Width” to and is very variable
see the image
Print your letters into the Text Tool Box
Hit the “Apply” button.
Drag the text around to whatever size you need, where you need. When you are content hit the “Move Tool and the box around the text will disappear.

Another way is to make your lettering a solid colour then in “Effects” - “3D Effects” select “Drop Shadow” and make the shadow any colour you want, any density you want, any angle you want and as soft or hard as you need in the 3D properties box

Hope this is of some use to somebody

Re: Festive lettering in Paintshop Pro

Thanks for taking the time to do this Jake

I've moved it to the Tutorials and Guides Forum as it seemed more appropriate.
