Hi all, just thought I would upload a pic that has file info in it so that people can see what needs to go where when sending pics to publications such as newspapers.
If you right click on the image and click save as to save the pic to your pc, then open it in photoshop. Next click on file and then file info from the drop down menu. Hope this helps

It's a matter of opinion, I do make a nice living from photography and as I have said before, "I have the best job in the world, I get paid to do my hobby"
That said, The standards of photography on this and other forums is so good that it makes me look like ive just started.

I know you work for yourself and it seems you manage to get the difficult, one time, chance type shots that are very much in demand by the press, but would you class yourself as a press photographer?

A very good question, many people ask what sort of photographer I am and I always reply, Im a Photographer, I take photographs. Everything from girlies with little or no clothes on to worm farming in Doncaster. Weddings, landscape, bike racing and news stories. I guess my preferred title would be "Photo journalist"

Very interesting insight and obvious when you think about it really but something I've never considered.

Do you have an application that automatically inserts the majority of the information or is it a manual process?

Manual process, but. you can save a template for the majority of the info and adjust it to suit the pic.

Thanks very much for that, it's been something I was wondering about aswell.

...in regards to your newspaper work, if you get a chance could you maybe give a description on how to go about contacting them and submitting the pics, and any tips on how to maximize the sales for each pic would be great too
