Nicely presented
![]() Might scare some people off that you have linked to the download file for photomatix.... an .exe file. The download page (as the rawshooter link) might be less intimidating

Great write-up, got to applaud the obvious effort you have put into this, going to have to have a play about (no excuses now)

Cheers pete, looks quite straight forward, if I have time this weekend will give it a go. You do realise you've opened a whole can of worms with this as it was only a few weeks ago we had everyone doing B/W mono's, now it'll be everyone doing HDR!!!

It would be quite hard getting everyone to freeze while I setup the shot ![]() Quote:

Good stuff Pete. One thing to note for perfect HDR :-
The spread of RAW for a single shot is about 5 stops, with high contrast scenery having a range of about 8 stops & the human eye having a 10 stop range. |

Re: HDR Guide with OMG Corsa!
Hey hey I get it now at least it was somthing I was missing. Correct me if i'm wrong but is this not the same as taking 2/3 shots then intergrating the layers in PS, I guess im suggesting there must be a way to get the same effect from PS.
I will have a play with it and thankyou for taking the time to create this tutorial and post it, Sadly I can't play with this idea for a bit as sadly I have to go to Portugal for a week in sun, bet you all feel for me

Re: HDR Guide with OMG Corsa!
In principle you are correct, but software such as Photomatix have complex algorithms etc to decipher the best mix between the shots, pixel by pixel. Saying that I find the manual method you suggested via layers to produce a more natural looking shot, if done right.
As for hols ....lucky luck git

Re: HDR Guide with OMG Corsa!
Thanks Pete, I had a quick play with Photomatix a couple of days ago and your guide has helped a lot. Cheers
